Reviews and Ratings
Upon arrival, the freezing cold room was a bit of a shock, but the dining room looked welcoming. The spacious and comfortable room with breakfast included was a nice touch.
The hotel rooms are very nice and extremely clean and tidy, but quite small for the price. The service was wonderfully friendly and helpful, although the staff operate from a hidden small office. The location is beautiful and well-maintained but may not offer fantastic tea. The dining experience is enjoyable with reasonable prices. The hotel provides a hearty affair and welcoming staff in a top-class setting.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the room was spacious, the lack of air conditioning and only a small desk fan made the evening uncomfortable. On the bright side, the self-service breakfast was delightful, and the bathroom was huge, though the bed felt a bit small for the size of the room.
Chestnut Lodge was a beautiful stay with a private patio in a gorgeous setting. The staff, especially the guy who escorted us to our room, were very welcoming and friendly. The morning light could be brighter, but overall the facilities were enjoyable.
The hotel rooms were lovely, nice size with a separate bathroom and dressing room overlooking the park, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were very quiet and presented to a very high standard. However, the dining experience was disappointing as the staff was sharp and abrasive. The location, amidst a beautiful arboretum, was perfect for reconnecting with family and enjoying nature walks.
